Nashville-based J. Alexander’s Corp. has been sold to Fidelity National Financial Inc., according to this Nation’s Restaurant News story.

J. Alexander’s operates 33 restaurants including a location at 7970 Washington Village Drive in Washington Twp. east of the Dayton Mall and four others in Ohio. Its new owner also owns the O’Charley’s restaurant chain, which operates a location at 2260 Miamisburg-Centerville Road one-and-a-half miles from J. Alexander’s, and Max & Erma’s, which operates restaurants in the Springboro, Beavercreek, and Miller Lane/Butler Twp.areas and at Dayton International Airport.

The sale transaction calls for a $72 million cash and stock buyout, according to the NRN story.
