According to the audit, Buchanan was paid the money in 2014 and 2015 while working at the front desk of the township. But state law doesn’t allow payment in addition to her base salary.
The audit also noted that trustees were being paid their salaries out of the wrong budget lines. The audit says this discrepancy was fixed.
