International Migratory Bird Day

Date:May 10 Time9:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Celebrate the return of the migratory birds and the beauty of spring. On this walk participants will identify, by sight and sound, the many birds that are arriving back in the area. Some will nest here and others are passing through on their way to more northerly nesting areas. Dress for the weather and be prepared to hike.

Point Pelee Birding Weekend

Date: May 16-18

This exciting bird extravaganza will give participants the opportunity to observe and identify over 125 species of birds including herons, waterfowl, gulls, shorebirds, flycatchers, thrushes, vireos, warblers, tanagers and many more. Reservations are required.

Aullwood Farm Babies Fest

Date May 17 Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: $5 per car

The entire family will enjoy interacting with and learning about all the new animal babies at Aullwood Farm along with special appearances by Father Duck. Families may take draft horse drawn wagons rides, visit the children’s activity tent, taste delicious food, enjoy live entertainment, watch demonstrations of sheep shearing, cleaning, carding, spinning, and weaving of wool and sheep herding.

Flower Moon

Date: May 19 Time: 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

May is the month for spectacular flower blossoms across the landscape. It is also a great month to enjoy an evening walk. An Aullwood naturalist will lead this relaxing night walk in the light of the Flower Moon.
