Barrel House adding food option at its downtown Dayton beer bar

The Barrel House will collaborate with a brand new food truck to offer dining options during peak times at its craft beer bar in downtown Dayton.

>> NEW TODAY: 6 local craft breweries will brew the exact same beer as 1,000 breweries across the U.S. Here's why.

If all goes as planned, starting next Friday, Dec. 7, the food truck, "Griller B's" — launched by Katie Marks, founder and owner of The Wicked 'Wich of Dayton food truck — will park in the Barrel House parking lot and begin serving as the bar's detached kitchen of sorts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

“This way, during peak hours, people can still experience great beer on draft without having to leave the premises for food, and also enjoy a great food truck menu without waiting in the cold,” Marks said.

The Griller B’s menu “will consist of burgers, quesadillas, nachos, different mac and cheeses etc. along with vegan fair,” Marks said. “Every fourth Thursday of the month there will also be a gourmet grilled cheese menu to pair with The Barrel House’s wine tasting.”

Barrel House co-owner Sara Stathes confirmed the collaboration and said, “We’re super excited.”

Marks said The Wicked ‘Wich of Dayton truck  has shut down for the winter but will resume operations next spring.
