Biker transported by Careflight after struck by vehicle in Springfield

A biker was trasported via Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on East Main Street.

Initial reports indicate that the biker suffered a severe head injury and was transported to Springfield Regional Hospital, where Careflight transported him to Miami Valley Hospital.

Officers on the scene said the crash was a hit-and-run.

East Main Street is closed in both directions, our photographer on the scene said.
