Officials said besides AFIT, other jobs at WPAFB are in danger, as well as a number of jobs at The Springfield Air National Guard Base and all workers at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Kettering.
The BRAC commission is expected to vote on the Air Force installations on Thursday. Their deadline to submit their list to President George W. Bush is Sept. 8. Bush must approve or reject the final plan by Sept. 23.
The final three days of discussions on what will be closed, moved and realigned can be seen on CSPAN 2 and begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
