Coronavirus: A second resident of Koester Pavilion dies while awaiting test results

Miami County Public Health confirmed that two residents of Koester Pavilion have died while waiting for the results of a coronavirus test, according to a release.

The first patient who died was 93-year-old Earl Bollinger. The test results weren't 100 percent confirmed, but family is almost positive it was coronavirus, according to his granddaughter.

The second resident has not been identified and their test results have not been confirmed.

The county is currently reporting that there are a total of 16 residents, 24 staff, and 2 visitors who are showing symptoms at the facility.

Of the individuals tested, 12 are presumptive positive with pending tests and 5 are hospitalized.
