Dale Brunner, the YMCA President and CEO, says the efforts apply to all ten YMCAs in the Dayton area, as well as the Auglaize-Mercer County YMCA.

Brunner says people are stationed in all areas of the Y to clean and wipe down surfaces every 30 minutes.

He says doors are being kept open to prevent hands from touching doorknobs and signs are posted asking anyone who has been sick or had the flu in the last two weeks to please stay home.

In addition, the Y has cancelled Free Thursdays for the time being and tomorrow night’s annual board meeting has been cancelled.

Brunner says the YMCA is trying to be proactive in order to stay open and keep members healthy.
