Police investigate vacant building fire on Sycamore St. in Xenia

UPDATE @ 1:47 a.m.

Xenia police were dispatched to the dead end of Sycamore St. in Xenia where a large, two-story building was on fire, just after midnight.

A nearby homeowner called police after noticing smoke coming from the fenced in area where the structure is located, according to officials.

There were no injury to fire personnel, and officials do not believe there will be a damage estimate due to the structure being vacant and not having a real property value.

Xenia police are leading the investigation to find out what caused the fire.

XENIA — Crews are on the scene of a fire in the 200 block of Sycamore Street early Wednesday.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene just after midnight.
