Occupant pronounced dead at the scene of Fairfield Twp. accident

An unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle accident in the 2300 block of Canal Road Saturday evening.

Fairfield Twp. police and investigators with the Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene at approximately 8:45 p.m.

According to a press release, a 1993 Honda Del Sol was traveling eastbound on Canal and struck a utility pole after veering off the right side of the roadway.

The other occupant in the vehicle was transported to UC Health West Chester Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
