Passenger injured in Harrison Twp. crash on Frederick Pike

HARRISON TWP. -- One of two people was injured in a single-vehicle accident in the 5700 block of Frederick Pike that occurred when the driver lost control of the sedan.

The driver was not injured but his passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies and medic units were sent to the address for an injury accident reported about 1:30 p.m.

The preliminary investigation reveals the white Buick Century was headed north on Frederick Pike when it left the right side of the road, then continued across both lanes as it left the left side of the road and hit a Dayton Power & Light pole.

The car rolled at least once before ending up on its side. Both people were trapped for a time, according to the sheriff’s office.
