RTA bus window struck by object while en route

An RTA bus window has been struck by an object while on a bus route late Friday night, according to a Dayton Police Report.

While driving along Wheatley close to Fairview, bus driver Melvin Jordan heard a loud smacking sound. He was quick to notice the upper side window - located next to the opening door - had been struck. The window cracked, but the glass didn't shatter nor break off.

During the route, Jordan noticed some juveniles in the area and that possibly one of them shot a pellet gun at the bus.

After continuing on his route, Jordan eventually pulled over so the RTA Supervisor could document the damage.

There were only two passengers on the bus at the time, but were gone by the time of the report.

No one was injured, and there are no suspects at this time.
