Missing Hocking County man found safe; Endangered Missing Alert canceled

UPDATE @ 7:19 a.m.:

The Hocking County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Maze has been found safe, and the Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been canceled.

INITIAL REPORT (11/24):

The Hocking County Sheriff’s Office issued a Statewide Endangered Missing Adult Alert for an 80-year-old man who drove away from his home around 6:30 p.m. and has not returned, according to a release.

Daniel Maze was last seen at his residence on Hoc Hocking Drive in the city of Logan.

He is a white male who weighs 180 pounds and is 5-foot-11-inches tall.

Maze has gray hair, brown eyes and suffers from Dementia and a heart condition.

Police say he might be headed to Grant Hospital to see family.

The vehicle involved is a white 2010 Buick Lacrosse with Ohio plate number GBQ7342.
