The Butler County OVI Task Force will be conducting an OVI Checkpoint tonight in Monroe.
The sobriety checkpoint will start at 7 p.m. and ending no later than 10 p.m. The location will be northbound Cincinnati-Dayton Road just north of Todhunter Road.
State law requires OVI checkpoint times and locations be announced ahead of time.
In addition to the checkpoint, there will be saturation patrols in the area, as part of the task force’s continuing effort to reduce OVI-related crashes resulting in injuries and fatalities.
The Butler County OVI Task Force is funded by U.S. Department of Transportation, National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
