Free and open to the public, the event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Miami Twp. Branch Dayton Metro Library, 2718 Lyons Rd, Miamisburg. The forums are sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Region.
The county commission candidates, Republican Miami Twp. Trustee Doug Barry and County Treasurer Carolyn Rice, a Democrat, will answer questions during the first forum. Questioners will be Pat Bradley Falke of the League of Women Voters and Dayton Daily News reporter Chris Stewart.
Time will be allotted for questions from the public. The event will also be livestreamed on the Ohio Politics Facebook page.
Similarly, the two candidates running for the Statehouse seat, Republican Niraj Antani, the incumbent, and Democrat Zach Dickerson will appear during the second forum. The 42nd District covers much of southwestern Montgomery County including all or parts of Germantown, Miamisburg, West Carrollton, Moraine, Miami and Washington Twp.
Hosts for tonight’s forums are Susan Hesselgesser, executive director of the League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area, and Anthony Shoemaker, Dayton Daily News political editor.
