CareFlight responds to Preble County crash

One person was taken by CareFlight with serious injuries tonight after a two-vehicle crash that occurred at Ohio 725 and Ohio 177.

The crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. Trooper Carl Paulin, of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, said a Red Chevrolet Cruze carrying five people pulled in front of a Chrsyler Town and Country van.

All five people in the Cruze were taken to Miami Valley Hospital, including a 3-year-old that suffered a head laceration.

Paulin said the driver of the Cruze, a 26-year-old woman, has been cited for failing to yield.

A woman riding as a passenger in the van was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley. She has been treated and released.

There was also a 3-year-old in the back seat of the van.

No one suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
