Overall, the automaker wants to eliminate 789 of its U.S. 3,200 dealerships.
Other nearby dealerships on Chrysler's cut list include University Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge in Oxford, Hamilton-Fairfield Dodge, Jeep in Hamilton, and the Chrysler dealership at Lima Auto Mall.
Chrysler also wants to close a dealership in the Toledo suburb of Perrysburg where the automaker has a plant that makes steering columns and other parts.
Dealers will be able to appeal the decisions that are likely to cause devastating affects in communities across the country as thousands of jobs are lost.
“Our plan is to take it one day at a time, lot of litigation right now,” said Dan Zappia from Salem Chrysler Jeep.
The Ohio Automobile Dealers Association says the closing of dozens of Chrysler dealerships in Ohio will have a major impact on the state's economy.
Trade group executive director Tim Doran says each dealership has about 50 employees earning an average salary of about $45,000 a year.
