Cincinnati State Middletown to host ‘Wigs for Kids’

Cincinnati State Middletown and the Tufts of Hair Beauty Salon are sponsoring a charitable event Monday to benefit the “Wigs for Kids” program.

For more than 30 years, “Wigs for Kids” has provided support for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, burns and other medical issues. “Wigs for Kids” services are provided at no cost to children and their families.

On Monday event, stylists from the Tufts of Hair Beauty Salon in downtown Middletown will set up shop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the lobby of Cincinnati State Middletown, 1 North Main St. Tufts of Hair employees will provide free haircuts to donors who have a minimum length of hair of 12 inches and is not chemically treated.

Financial contributions to Wigs for Kids will also be accepted during the event.

Representatives from Women’s Center of Atrium Medical Center will also be at the event to provide information in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
