Cinnabon is looking for a new franchise owner to reopen the Cinnabon shop inside the Dayton Mall —a nd is also looking for franchisees to operate other Cinnabon locations in central and southwest Ohio as well.

The Dayton Mall Cinnabon bakery was dark and taped off last week with a sign stretched across the entrance that read, “Cinnabon Closed 12/29/16.”

“At this time, Cinnabon is deeply invested in reopening the bakery in Dayton Mall, as well as expanding throughout Columbus,” Cinnabon spokeswoman Loryn Franco told this news outlet in an email today, Jan. 4. “We are currently looking for franchisees for Dayton Mall, Liberty Center Mall, Polaris Mall and Tuttle Crossing Mall.

"Cinnabon is focused on continued expansion throughout Ohio and the Midwest region. Anyone interested in operating a Cinnabon franchise can contact Mark Hong with Cinnabon Franchise Sales at 404-702-8852 or mhong@cinnabon.com, or visit www.cinnabonfranchising.com."

Franco said Cinnabon is looking for highly motivated franchisees who have restaurant management operations or ownership experience and who are involved in their local community. A typical range of investment for a franchisee of a new Cinnabon bakery is $181,050 to $325,500, Cinnabon officials said on its franchising web site. It's not clear what investment would be required to reopen an existing franchise location.

The Cinnabon at Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek remains open under separate franchise ownership and has not been affected by the Dayton Mall closing.
