Coldwater man to prison in double fatality crash

A judge in Mercer County ordered a Coldwater man to serve 13 years in prison as the driver of a car that crashed last summer killing two and injuring one other. He is Ryan Billenstein, 28, of Coldwater.

The crash happened in July on State Route 119 at Fleetwood Road east of St. Henry.

Killed was Craig Gengler, 22, Celina and Vincent Gragorace, 21, Greenville. A third passenger Bethany Wentworth, 21, Greenville was seriously injured.

Authorities said that Billenstein was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana at the time of the early morning crash. His car slammed into a tree.

Billenstein will not be eligible for early release from prison. His driver's license is suspended for the rest of  his life.
