Kettering-founded Rapid Fired Pizza will partner with Kroger to bring pizza restaurants to Kroger Marketplace locations across Ohio.
The first Rapid Fired inside a Kroger will open in Mt. Orab, east of Cincinnati, selling its build-your-own pizzas, pastas and calzones. The Kroger locations will also offer take-and-bake pre-made pizzas that customers can purchase to be baked later, according to a Rapid Fired statement.
“We are thrilled to partner with an admirable organization like Kroger,” said Ray Wiley, president and CEO of Rapid Fired Pizza. “We look forward to future expansion opportunities.”
Rapid Fired pizza has 27 stores in six states and is known for baking build-your-own pizzas in three minutes. The company plans to expand to more Kroger Marketplace locations.
“The Rapid Fired Pizza venue in our Mt. Orab store is one more way Kroger provides meal solutions to our customers,” said Erin Rolfes, corporate affairs manager for the Cincinnati-Dayton division of The Kroger Co. “We are always looking to help customers find new, simple answers to the question, ‘What’s for dinner?’”
