Company opens fourth vapor shop in Vandalia

A new vapor shop, which sells electronic cigarettes and other accessories, opened Monday in Vandalia.

Vapor Haus opened its fourth location at 786 Northwoods Boulevard in the Northwoods Shopping Center near Kroger. The shop is hiring three new employees for its location. Chris Voudris, owner of the Vapor Haus, said the 1,600 square-foot location is clean and welcoming — offering something for every type of customer.

He said a mix of customers come in, ranging from the chronic cigarette smoker trying to quit and the younger person who is interested in vaping. Customers often ask what it costs to get started, and Voudris said it’s about $30.

Vapor stores offer alternatives to cigarette smoking, he said. The batter-operated devices are tobacco-free and heat liquid nicotine into a vapor that the user inhales.

“We have friendly staff members who are very informative about vapors,” he said.

Voudris said the new store is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 8 p.m. Other Vapor Haus stores are located in Belmont, Kettering and Riverside.
