Some 15,000 people were on hand Saturday morning for the 16th Annual Air Force Marathon. Runners, joggers, and walkers gathered at the National Museum of the United States Air Force for the event.
The full marathon and 10K started at 7:30 a.m.
The half-marathon kicked off at 8:30 a.m.
Today’s schedule includes a post-race festival from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Awards were to be presented at 12 p.m.
Storm Center 7 Weather Specialist Traci Hale Brown said the cool early morning temperatures were perfect for marathon participants.
