The Centerville-Washington Twp. Americana Festival is canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, officials stated in a release.
The board of trustees for the festival elected to cancel all activities on July 3 and 4 related to the festival, including the fireworks display, 5k run, parade, street fair, auto show and children’s area.

Over 90,000 people attend the festival and over 100 volunteers assist with the activities each year, the festival’s website stated. The board of trustees are prioritizing the safety of the community, volunteers, staff, performers and vendors and ask that everyone celebrate Independence Day in a safe manner.
