Teen struck on bicycle near Tippecanoe H.S.

UPDATE @ 4:30 p.m.

A 14-year-old was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital after he was struck by a car near Tippecanoe High School on Kessler-Cowlesville Road.

The teen was alert and conscious at the scene and the injuries were not serious, according to a sergeant at the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver involved was not cited. The teen entered the intersection on the bicycle and failed to yield to the southbound vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

A teenager riding a bicycle was struck by a car near Tippecanoe High School and was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital, according to the Miami County emergency dispatch center.

Details about what happened were not immediately available.

Deputies and medics in Miami County have responded to the report of a teenager on a bicycle being struck by a vehicle.

Crews responded around 3:20 p.m. to the area near Tippecanoe High School on Kessler-Cowlesville Road.

A witness tells us a teenager and a bicycle were lying on the pavement after being struck by a vehicle.
