Alleged burglars caught with loot after crash

Three men are facing burglary charges after they crashed in a car carrying a stolen TV.

Kamry Ad Young, 18, Cory Richardson Jr., 19, Robert Lee Jenks Jr, 19, were all arrested Monday and are being held in the Montgomery County Jail.

According to a Dayton Police incident report, a woman reported that she saw a green SUV pull up behind a house on North Woodward Avenue Monday afternoon shortly before 1 p.m. Multiple young men got out, kicked down a back door and carried out a flat-screen TV from inside the home.

She said they were all wearing hooded sweatshirts including one man in an orange sweatshirt.

Police contacted the homeowner who arrived and confirmed that two TVs were missing from his house.

At about 2 p.m. police were dispatched to a crash at Philadelphia Drive and Oxford Avenue. A green Ford Expedition with three men inside had crashed. One of the occupants was wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt and a TV had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

Police arrived and took Young into custody. Jenks and Richardson were arrested after being treated at the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

The owner of the TV came to the scene and identified his property, according to the report.
