Arrest made in Jack’s Pets armed robbery

Police arrested Justin Woods on Monday. Woods is suspected of robbing the Jack’s Pets on S. Smithville Road Oct. 31.

Dayton police Detective Danielle Cash said no animals were hurt in the robbery.

Dayton police are searching for a tall thin, armed robber who stole cash from Jack’s Pets on S. Smithville Rd. just before 12:30 p.m. Friday.

According to police on the scene, the white male in his late teens, early 20’s, was wearing a blue hoodie sweatshirt and had a tattoo under his right eye. Police said the man walked up to the clerk and said, ‘can I ask you a question?’ The robber than flashed a gun in his waistband.

A witness reported to detectives the robber took off running through an alley towards Patterson Rd.

Police said there were no customers in the store at the time of the hold up. No one was hurt. Surveillance cameras were operating in the store at the time of the robbery.
