Police detained three individuals, and found a 40-caliber handgun under a truck in the parking lot. Police also found a bullet casing under the vehicle, and forensics matched the casing to bullets found in the gun.
Witnesses provided a description of the shooter, and it matched the profile of Ricky Lasley, 35, of Dayton, police said.
Police learned that Lasley had previous felony drug convictions, and he was prohibited from possessing a firearm.
He was booked in the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of having a weapon under disability.
One of the other men police detained at the scene was 31-year-old Andre Wiley.
Wiley was handcuffed and placed in the back of a police cruiser. But police noticed he was moving around a lot in the back seat, the report said.
Police said his behavior was consistent with attempting to hide contraband, and so officers removed him from the car and patted him down.
Police said they found a bag of suspected marijuana that fell out of his pants.
Officers said they also found a bag containing about 3.5 grams of "white soapy substance" that field tests confirmed as containing cocaine.
Wiley was booked into the county jail on a felony possession drug charge. He was also issued a misdemeanor citation for possessing marijuana.
