Dayton police release results of Thursday’s sobriety checkpoint

More than 700 vehicles went through a sobriety checkpoint Thursday evening in Dayton, according to police.

The checkpoint was in the area of Linden Avenue and Smithville Road from 8 p.m. to midnight.

No OVI arrests were made during the checkpoint.

Out of the 712 vehicles that went through, 39 were diverted.

Police served two warrants and cited 15 people for driving under suspension, 10 for not having a driver’s license and three for other infractions.
