Dragon China driver reports assault

A delivery driver for Dragon China restaurant reported a woman driver cut him off in traffic on S. Smithville Rd. near Linden Ave. on Sunday afternoon before 4 p.m. The driver told police he had to slam on the brakes and nearly hit the woman’s vehicle. He pulled up to the vehicle and asked the female driver what she was doing.

The report states that after returning to restaurant on S. Smithville, the delivery driver says he was followed by the vehicle. He claims the woman’s passenger came to his door and attacked him.

Police reported a witness told them the passenger jumped into the delivery driver’s car and attacked him “for no reason.”

After the alleged incident, the female driver and suspect left. Police were able to find the woman through her license plate. She told police the delivery driver kicked the passenger first. Later, the male passenger called police and met to talk about the incident.

Police booked Jason Johnson of West Carrollton into Montgomery County Jail for assault. He is not listed as an inmate at this time.
