Drugs, guns, ammunition seized from Dayton home

DAYTON — Police seized three guns, ammunition, a large prescription bottle full of pills, suspected powder cocaine and marijuana from a Middlebury Road home on Thursday, according to a city police incident report.

Around 5 p.m. the Dayton Police Community Response Team went to a home in the 5300 block of Middlebury Road to speak to the homeowner about a drug complaint.

“The day before Sgt. Randy Beane had a meeting with some of the residents in that neighborhood about this house,” wrote Dayton Officer Michael Saylors.

Police also conducted a “protective sweep” of the home.

“As we walked through the home, I saw two scales and meth pipe sitting in the living room in plain sight,” Saylors wrote. “The kitchen also had a scale with a massive amount of white drug residue on the weight tray.”

Police located the guns, ammunition and additional drugs in an attached garage, according to the incident report. Officers determined one of the guns was stolen.

The police report does not indicate any arrests were made.
