Florida man, 83, gives finger while doing U-turns, resists arrest

A senior citizen is accused of making U-turns and flipping off motorists while driving along a Florida road.

The 83-year-old Niceville man was driving through Fort Walton Beach when he began doing U-turns and extending his middle finger toward people, according to NWF Daily News.

When Fort Walton Beach police officers tried to pull him over, the man started to drive off, but stopped when officers began yelling at him. The man, who authorities say appeared impaired and smelled of alcohol, couldn’t pass field sobriety tests, according to NWF Daily News.

Police say the man also resisted officers’ attempts to get him in the patrol car, NWF Daily News reported.

He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, but more charges may be added following the results of a blood-alcohol test.
