Coroner rules cause of death after body found in Lindenwald Park

UPDATE @ 2 p.m. April 3:

An autopsy by the Butler County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that a body found Monday evening in Lindenwald Park was that of a man who committed suicide.

UPDATE (April 3):

According to Hamilton Police Sgt. Brian Robinson, “it was a suicide” that occurred in the park.

INITIAL REPORT (April 2):

Hamilton police are at Lindenwald Park investigating a report of a body found, dispatchers confirmed Monday evening.

Police responded shortly after 4 p.m. to the park at Weller and Madison avenues. The body reportedly was found near playground equipment, but police declined to release any more information.

On Monday evening, police tape covered a bench at the park.

“We are out at Madison and Weller investigating, but I do not have any further information on that,” a dispatcher told this news outlet.
