Help Montgomery County deputies ID credit card theft suspect

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help to identify a theft suspect.

On Oct. 17, officers made contact with a woman at Whole Foods Market, 1050 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, who told police her wallet had been stolen from her purse.

The woman later found her credit cards had been used at multiple locations, including the Apple store at The Greene, and Macy’s and Game Stop at the Fairfield Commons Mall, all in Beavercreek.

An hour after the theft of the wallet, the suspect made his first purchase at the Apple store using one of the stolen cards.

While making the purchase, a man showed a New Mexico identification card that had his picture and name on it. According to the Apple Store employees, the fraudulent identification looked real.

If anyone has any information, contact sheriff’s detective Benjamin Egloff at 937-432-2757.
