A Middletown man already in prison for raping a Trenton girl was sentenced today to seven more years for raping a second teen near Kings Island.

David Ross, 30, pleaded guilty to rape before Warren County Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Peeler.

Prosecutors said Cross told the victim he was 15 when he began communicating with her through the app Meow Chat. He met her in person July 29, 2016, and forced her to engage in sexual contact on a walkway in a wooded area between Kings Island and Great Wolf Lodge.

Peeler sentenced Cross to seven years in prison, to be served consecutively to a nine-year sentence involving a Trenton teen. He pleaded guilty March 23 before Butler County Common Pleas Court Judge Noah Powers to rape and minor in nudity material. The rimes occurred in October 2016 and the spring of 2015, prosecutors said.

That case led investigators to uncover information leading his second conviction today.

Cross is being held in the London Correctional Institution. He also is labeled a Tier III sexual offender, meaning that once he is released he will have to register his address every 30 days with his local sheriff for the rest of his life.
