Man steals $50 in soda from Dayton Dollar General

A Dollar General customer apparently walked out of the store with $50 worth of soda pop without paying for it or being noticed by employees.

It was another customer who alerted the store manager to the theft Saturday at 1431 Wayne Ave., according to the Dayton police report.

A male put 10 12-packs of Mountain Dew in his cart and exited the store, according to the report.

Police said the crime was captured on the store's surveillance cameras.
