Miamisburg bank robber didn't say a word to teller

Police are looking for the unidentified bank robber who didn't say a word when he hit Chase Bank on South Heincke Road Monday.

The robber, described as a white male wearing a gray hoodie and a black Cincinnati Reds hat, walked in to the bank at 210 S. Heincke late in the day and passed the teller a note that simply stated, "Robbery," according to Miamisburg Det. Michael Aiken.

No customers were in the bank at the time and no one was injured.

Aiken said the robber didn't say anything and didn't display a weapon.

He got away with the cash in the teller's drawer and left heading south.

A Montgomery County sheriff's K-9 unit assisted Miamisburg and Miami Twp. officers in searching a nearby wooded area where one witness reported seeing the robber, but the search was unsuccessful.

Aiken said another witness reported seeing the robber get into a blue sport utility vehicle.
