Over 100 marijuana plants seized from Mad River Twp. barn

UPDATE @ 5:54 p.m.:

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said in a release a total of 109 marijuana plants were seized (with a street value of $2,000 per plant), as well as material used in the illegal manufacturing of marijuana concentrates, a large amount of marijuana grow equipment, cash and a firearm.

The male homeowner, his wife and two children were inside the home at the time of the search.

No one has been taken into custody, and the case will later be presented to a Clark County grand jury.

UPDATE 1:01 p.m.:

Sheriff’s deputies are on the scene of a suspected marijuana bust this afternoon on Fairfield Pike.

Deputies were on the scene of the barn in the 5500 block of Fairfield around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

It’s unknown if anyone has been taken into custody.

INITIAL REPORT:

We’re working to learn more about an investigation underway by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Multiple units were on scene at noon in the area of Fairfield Pike and Fowler Road.

A witness said she sees several officers around a barn in the area.
