The checkpoint will start at 9 p.m. on Ohio 128 near the intersection of Ross-Millville Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Members of the Butler County OVI Tasks Force, Butler County Sheriff’s Office and the state patrol will staff the checkpoint as well as have extra saturation patrols to combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes, according to the state patrol.
In 2017, there were 14,481 OVI-related crashes in which 405 people were killed and 8,848 people were injured in Ohio, according to the state patrol.
