Man suffers head injury in Huber Heights assault

UPDATE @ 8:28 a.m.:

Huber Heights police are investigating an assault after a 27-year-old man was found with a head injury at the corner of Taylorsville and Wildcat roads.

Officers were responded to the intersection at 4:56 a.m. on a report of suspicious activity, said police.

The victim reportedly told officers that he was assaulted by an unknown person.

He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

INITIAL REPORT:

A person was injured as a result of a ‘stabbing or shooting’ at the corner of Taylorsville and Wildcat roads in Huber Heights early Tuesday morning, police said.

Police found blood on the sidewalk when they arrived at the scene, and the victim was not coherent to tell them what happened. So officers are not certain if the victim was shot or stabbed, officials said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.
