Police find drugs in man's belly button

Police on a traffic stop found drugs inside a male passenger's belly button and also arrested the vehicle's driver.

Two men were inside a Chevrolet pickup truck around 1:30 a.m. today when police initiated the traffic stop on South Findlay Street near the intersection of Fourth Street.

The passenger, Alex Jamison Smith, 38, was in possession of an undetermined amount of drugs, which were discovered inside his belly button, police said.

During the investigation of the stop, police also located drug paraphernalia on the driver, Guy Loeliger, 34.

Both Loeliger and Jamison Smith were arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Jamison Smith was booked on a felony possession of drugs charge and Loeliger was booked on possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments.

The pickup was towed from the scene.

The case remains under investigation.
