Film crew member chases man after Dayton café vandalized

A café in Dayton was the victim of another vandalism over the weekend.

Crews were dispatched around 11:15 a.m. Sunday morning to St. Anne the Tart on a criminal damaging call, according to a police incident report.

Someone threw more rocks at the café, damaging the building.

This time, an employee was inside the building around 9:45 a.m. when she heard a loud noise from something striking the outside of the building. A film crew was also outside taping the business at the time of the incident.

The employee and film crew noticed a man standing in the field across the street before a member of the crew chased him behind the Gem City Catfe where he fled on his bicycle.

The member of the film crew told police the suspect is described to be in his early 20s, 5’10 to 6’1, and 170 to 190 pounds, the report stated.

No arrests were made and no other details were available.
