Report: Dayton police look for suspect, stolen vehicle taken in robbery

Dayton police are looking for a stolen vehicle that was taken in a robbery by a known suspect.

The suspect, identified by Dayton police as Michael Bucey, stole a maroon 2015 Honda CR-V, according to a Dayton police incident report. Bucey stole the car after allegedly assaulting the owner, who reported the incident on Feb. 3.

A robbery charge on Bucey was approved Feb. 6 by the Montgomery County Prosecutors Office.

On Feb. 7, crews spotted the stolen Honda on Otterbein Avenue, the report stated. As the officers drove by, they saw Bucey in the driver’s seat wearing a white T-shirt.

Officers then parked next to the Honda, exited their cruiser and stood next to the driver and passenger side doors.

Bucey locked the Honda’s doors as officers told him to stop and get out of the car, the report stated. He then drove away from the officers after they tried making entry into the vehicle.

The officers didn’t pursue the vehicle but put out a BOLO, or “be on the lookout” for Bucey and the 2015 Honda CR-V.
