Her attorney, Jon Paul Rion was granted a second evaluation of Skinner. A court official said Skinner’s trial was set for Feb. 28.
Skinner faces two counts of first-degree felony aggravated arson for an Aug. 5 fire at her residence at 3476 Plantation Place.
One felony is for starting the fire in an occupied structure; the other for creating a substantial risk of serious physical harm to others, such as firefighters.
Landscapers in the neighborhood saw smoke coming from the house, removed two dogs from inside, and helped Skinner, who was struggling with the smoke, according to Beavercreek Fire Chief David VandenBos. Skinner was treated for minor smoke inhalation.
