Xenia woman accused of murder to appear in court today

A Xenia woman accused of fatally stabbing another woman during a fight in November is scheduled to appear in the Greene County Common Pleas court for a pretrial hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Tova Wallace-Lee, 21, is charged in the murder of Tre’Ana Tarver, 19, in the backyard of Xenia Councilman Edgar Wallace on East Church Street on Nov. 3. Wallace-Lee is Wallace’s granddaughter.

On the night of the incident, Xenia police received multiple phone calls about a fight in the backyard of Councilman Wallace’s home.

Tarver was lying on the ground when when officers arrived. She’d been stabbed, but was still alive, according to police reports.

Tarver was transferred to Greene Memorial Hospital, where she later died.

Wallace-Lee was charged with murder and was later indicted on that charge.

The fight between the two women may have been the result of jealousy, and the two had been arguing on social media for some time, police have said.

Wallace-Lee’s murder trial is scheduled for the morning of April 22.
