An 81-year-old Casstown man pleaded not guilty Monday to a felony count of child rape.

Norman Smock is accused of engaging in sexual contact with a child younger than 10 on July 28, according to an indictments handed down by a Miami County grand jury.
Smock pleaded not guilty in county Common Pleas Court. Bail of $100,000, originally set in the county Municipal Court, was continued by Judge Jeannine Pratt.
A pretrial hearing for Smock was scheduled for Oct. 29.
