She was jogging along a county road near her rural home when taken by force, according to Darke County Sheriff Toby Spencer. The date was Feb. 21, 1998. Her body wasn't found until March 6, 1998. The suspect in her abduction and murder was found in late March of that year dead in a barn, confirmed Spencer.
The run raised money to fund an annual $500 high school scholarship given each year in Topp's name.
"It's hard to believe it's been 10 years", said Lynn's brother, Todd, "There's not a day goes by that I don't think about my sister."
