The organizers said they “plan to stand in solidarity with Charlottesville and stand against the white supremacist violence these statues and monuments celebrate.”
The SURJ organization is encouraging people to come with a personalized sign and said participants should be “ready to de-escalate as well as engage difficult conversations.”
