The Dayton Mall and the Mall at Fairfield Commons is hosting a contest for graduating seniors to honor and commemorate their accomplishments.

The contest, supported by the malls’ parent company, Washington Prime Group, is called #ScholarSpree. Washington Prime Group is giving away 13 prizes, ranging from $500 to $3,000 to spend at any Washington Prime Group property nationwide.

High school and university graduates are encouraged to decorate their graduation caps or submit a creative graduation photo, then share their design on social media. They should tag @WashingtonPrimeGroup with the hashtag #ScholarSpree. The entries will be posted to a page where friends and family can vote for their favorite design. The contest runs from May 8 until June 12. The winners, determined by the caps with the most votes, will be announced on June 19.

All of the entries will be pulled together to create a digital mosaic on the Dayton Mall and Mall at Fairfield Commons’ websites.

“We know missing traditional graduation ceremonies and the end of senior year has been hard for the class of 2020 and their families,” said Dayton Mall General Manager Dave Duebber.

Leanne Ruboksy, General Manager of The Mall at Fairfield Commons shared that she was honored to help promote the graduates.

“These students have worked so hard and are off to change the world. It is an honor for The Mall at Fairfield Commons to commemorate their hard work and bring the community together to celebrate these students,” she said.
