Don’t miss these special Air Force Marathon events at and near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Breakfast of Champions

The Breakfast of Champions is scheduled to be held at the Holiday Inn Dayton/Fairborn Sept. 14.

The 2018 speaker will be Olympian, coach and author Jeff Galloway. He will be part of a panel-style presentation followed by audience Q&A.

The breakfast buffet includes fresh fruit, assorted bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, scrambled eggs, croissants, coffee, tea and juice.

Gourmet Pasta Dinner

This dinner will be Sept. 14 at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in the Modern Flight hangar.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base’s own chef will prepare pastas, salads, a variety of fruits and desserts for participants to load up on carbs the day before the big race. The gourmet pasta dinner is buffet style, and gluten-free options are available.

This special evening will include speeches at 6 p.m. from Air Force senior leadership and special guest Jeff Galloway. Additionally, there will be performances by the Air Force Band of Flight.

Cost is $25 per adult, $12 per child ages 6-10, and children 5 and under eat free, although they do need to be registered. Gourmet pasta dinner tickets can be purchased through the Registration page. When registering, participants may select the desired number of tickets and the price will be added to their order. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Sports and Fitness Expo.

As a special treat, dinner guests may tour the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Knowledgeable museum volunteers will be on hand to answer questions from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Finish Line Festival

The festival will be Sept. 15 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at National Museum of the United States Air Force. The Post Race Festival will begin after the first person crosses the finish line on the grounds of the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Join family, friends and other spectators in the celebration.

There will be food and beer vendors available to spectators during the post-race festival at the finish line as well as live music. Those who set a new personal record can come ring the PR bell!

After Party at the Greene

Gather at The Greene in Beavercreek Sept. 15 to hear live music from ‘80s cover band The Reaganomics. Partake in a beer tasting where your finisher’s medal gets you $5 off. Enjoy special discounts from several restaurants and stores while you mingle with your fellow runners and the Air Force Marathon staff. Watch a parachutist float down with the U.S. flag before the band gets rocking at 6 p.m.
